Neil against the development of Sellars Farm
Neil Carmichael on Friday, 14th October attended a community event at the Village Hall in Hardwicke in order to voice his support for local residents who oppose the construction of two hundred houses on a site at Sellars Farm.
Hardwicke is one of the fastest growing settlements in England in proportional terms due to nearly two thousands homes being built in the village in recent years. Hardwicke villagers are very concerned that local services will not be adequate for an additional two hundred homes atop all of the others in the development pipeline, there is a particular concern for education provision, the local road network and flood defences as Hardwicke lies on low ground beside the River Severn.
Neil Carmichael is against this project, which is outside of the settlement boundary, as he does not believe this scheme for two hundred homes is in keeping with measures that promote sustained development.
