Festival: Nampak's commitment to the Festival of Maufacturing and Engineering

In April 2012, plastic milk bottle manufacturer, Nampak Plastics, will be playing host to a number of events as part of the Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering at the company's Severnside factory. The five day festival, the brainchild of Neil Carmichael MP, will celebrate the local area's industrial routes and encourage young people to find out more about the wide-ranging career opportunities that manufacturing and engineering offer.

Paul Noble, Nampak Severnside's site manager, shared his excitement at the event and Neil Carmichael's involvement: "To have an MP work alongside Nampak on such a locally important event is a great plus. There are many opportunities in the manufacturing industry for young people and this event will go some way to illustrating how they can benefit from such a career choice.

"As a company, Nampak recognises that supporting young talent is vital to the future of British industry and at a head office and local level, we are continually looking at ways to encourage new entrants into the industry. Neil should be applauded for his commitment to bringing young people from the region together to experience the promising future manufacturing has to offer."

The Festival begins on Monday 23rd of April at Wycliffe School, Stonehouse at 11am with an exhibition of the Past, Present and Future of Manufacturing.
