Neil Carmichael Helps Beta Marine Celebrate its 25th Anniversary

14 May 2012 at 13:00
Beta Marine opened the doors of its Quedgeley headquarters on Friday to celebrate 25 years of successful business in the marine engine market with an awards event presided over by Neil Carmichael MP, Member of Parliament for Stroud. Guests included Beta's long standing Japanese engine partners Kubota as well as international distributors, UK dealers, suppliers, associates, staff and their families.
The four founding directors, Ted Spash, Andrew Growcoot, Laurance Talbot and Paul Grigg explained how Beta Marine started in a back bedroom in 1987 with no orders for the first 4 months but had grown through hard work and skilled staff into the highly successful £8M+ business of today. Particular tribute was paid to the loyal and committed workforce of 38, a number of whom have been with the company for over 20 years and to the company's network of dealers, distributors and partners.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards for long service for three members of staff, an award for Beta Marine's first overseas distributor, Beta Marine Germany and a special award to celebrate Beta Marine's long and highly successful partnership with Kubota.
Beta Marine CEO, Andrew Growcoot, reflected on the day, "Looking back over our 25 years in the marine engine business I am extremely proud of all our achievements; particularly our skilled and loyal workforce as well as the committed and reliable network of dealers and international distributors that we have built up around the world. We've been lucky to have a very skilled team that have worked extremely hard to build a trusted and respected brand in the marine engine market and I'm delighted that so many of our partners, friends and families have been able to celebrate Beta's success with us today."
Neil said "I was delighted to be able to help Beta Marine's success and congratulate staff on their acheivements. I wish them all the best for the next 25 years"
