Neil Carmichael visits Wycliffe

28 November 2011 at 10:00
Neil Carmichael recently visited Sixth Form Politics students at Wycliffe in Stonehouse to discuss the life and work of a Member of Parliament and to answer wide ranging questions on matters of state.
A variety of inquisitive questions were put to Neil ranging from the crisis within the Eurozone, the nature of the economy at home, the influence of the media on Neil's thoughts of the coalition government. His approach was forthright and candid, many of the students remarked on his easy manner and honesty when addressing controversial and divisive matters.
Neil was full of praise for the clear political engagement of the students as was manifested in the incisiveness of the questions they put to him. Whether or not he won his audience over may not become apparent until the votes are being counted at the next general election.
