Stroud East
Alongside me, as your MP, there are a number of other elected officials that are able to provide help and support.
You may find it useful to look at the Where I Live page on the County Council's website to find out who your local councillor is.
In many cases, they will be better placed than I am to provide support and information on matters relating to the County Council and the District Council such as planning. If you enter your post code the page will provide a range of information on who your local councillor is, where the nearest medical facilities are and lots more.
Neil Carmichael marks Holocaust Memorial Day

30 January 2012 at 12:15
This week Neil Carmichael signed a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons, in doing so pledging his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who died during the Holocaust.
Friday January 27th marked the 67th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by the advancing Red Army in 1945, the Nazi concentration and extermination camp which is the site of the murdering of more than one million people. In the weeks running up to the day, the Holocaust Educational Trust placed a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons, giving MPs the chance to honour those who were persecuted and killed during their Holocaust and encouraging constituents to actively speak out against prejudice and bigotry today.
Neil said: "Holocaust Memorial Day marks the liberation of the deadliest of the extermination camps in Nazi occupied Europe and remembers the more than eleven million people who were led to their deaths as a consequence of their faith, their ethnicity or their nationality. It is an important opportunity to remember the victims of genocide. I encourage all constituents to mark the day and for that matter to commit to 'speaking up and speaking out' against prejudice today."
