Ladbrokes offered Neil a charity bet on the Grand National with any proceeds going to a charity of his choice.
The racehorse Neil chose to back was Saint Are, trained locally by Tom George, on an each way bet. Saint Are came in third which is great news for local charity Meningitis Now, who will soon be benefitting from the winnings. Neil chose Meningitis Now as he is impressed with the fantastic work they are doing. Neil also chaired the first meeting of the recently formed All Party Parliamentary Group for Meningitis, of which Meningitis Now were instrumental in creating.
The presentation of the winnings to Meningitis Now will take place in Ladbrokes, Stonehouse on Friday 28th April.
